Introducing Becky Mazzanobile, New CEO of Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle
Dear Community Partners, Donors and Friends,
We are pleased to share with you that the Board of Directors has named Becky Mazzanobile as the next Chief Executive Officer of Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle. Her first day in this role was September 20.
Becky brings 25 years of leadership experience and a passion for helping young people succeed to her position as CEO of BGCNR. A significant portion of her career has focused on ensuring that all children have access to an excellent education and supporting educators and young people in high poverty, low income, diverse communities.
Becky has held leadership positions in Fortune 500, privately held, and start-up organizations, including Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, The McGraw-Hill Companies, The College Board, EdisonLearning, Generation Ready, and Standard & Poor’s. She has deep expertise in catalyzing and executing strategic “future vision,” while effectively managing day-day business operations. Her skills include strategic planning and implementation, change management, transformation, and strategic marketing and communications.
With a mission-driven, entrepreneurial mindset, Becky has grown businesses and organizations through innovation and transformation, fostering a transparent people-centric culture by motivating individuals and teams to embrace change and a customer-first focus, while instilling social responsibility. She believes her personal success is exemplified through the success of others — inspiring and developing individuals, teams, and organizations to perform at the highest levels.
Becky's focus on empowering young people extends to her volunteer work, which included teaching international marketing to high school students through Junior Achievement and participating in the Principal for A Day program, hosted by PENCIL, which strives to provide students with access to the relationships, skills, and opportunities that support their success
Becky received her Master of Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and Bachelor of Arts with distinction in International Relations from the University of Michigan. She lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband Greg and son Luc.
The search process was conducted over several months by Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s CEO Search Team, in partnership with a Search Committee BGCNR board member Mary Enquist and other dedicated board members. I would personally like to thank Boys & Girls Clubs of America for their tremendous support during the CEO search process.
We are incredibly excited for Becky to join the BGCNR family and look forward to your interaction with her as she defines her vision for supporting our members. Over the coming months, Becky plans to meet our community members, likely virtually, until it is safe to do so in person. As you learn about her priorities, strategy, and goals for our Clubs and community, we know you will be as hopeful about the future as we are.
For Becky, the BGCNR opportunity is an honor:
"There is nothing more important than inspiring and preparing our youth to succeed in this ever-increasing complex global world,” she said. “I understand how essential it is to empower young people to be critical thinkers, nurture their health/well-being, and enable them to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. I am incredibly honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve and meaningfully impact the development of children and teens in partnership with their families and the community of New Rochelle.”
We thank you for your continued support of our Clubs. Without your generosity and dedication, we would not be able to support the many kids and teens who enter our doors each day.
Sincerely,
Mary Jo Jacobs
BGCNR Board President
