New Rochelle, NY (September 9, 2021) – The board of directors of the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle (BGCNR) has announced the appointment of Becky Mazzanobile as the organization’s next chief executive officer, effective September 20, 2021. She brings 25 years of leadership experience and a passion for helping young people succeed to her position as CEO of BGCNR. A significant portion of her career has focused on ensuring that all children have access to an excellent education and supporting educators and young people in high poverty, low income, diverse communities.

As CEO, Mazzanobile will be responsible for leading the BGCNR’s strategic direction, and overseeing operations, finance, programming, brand reputation, talent recruitment, resource development, and stakeholder relationships. She also will serve as the organization’s primary ambassador and lead communicator, and partner with her leadership team to manage the organization’s clubs. She will report to the BGCNR Board of Directors, led by Board President Mary Jo Jacobs.

Mazzanobile has held leadership positions in Fortune 500, privately held, and start-up organizations, including Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, The McGraw-Hill Companies, The College Board, EdisonLearning, Generation Ready, and Standard & Poor’s. She has deep expertise in catalyzing and executing strategic “future vision,” while effectively managing daily business operations. Her skills include strategic planning and implementation, change management, transformation, and strategic marketing and communications.

With a mission-driven, entrepreneurial mindset, Mazzanobile has grown businesses and organizations through innovation and transformation, fostering transparent, people-centric cultures by motivating individuals and teams to embrace change and a customer-first focus, while instilling social responsibility. She believes her personal success is exemplified through the success of others — inspiring and developing individuals, teams, and organizations to perform at the highest levels.

Mazzanobile’s focus on empowering young people extends to her volunteer work, which included teaching international marketing to high school students through Junior Achievement and participating in the Principal for A Day program, hosted by PENCIL, which strives to provide students with access to the relationships, skills, and opportunities that support their success. Mazzanobile holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
